Silicone patch is softer than pvc patch, but sometimes many clients cannot know the standard of softness. There is a more simple way to distinguish PVC patches and silicone patches. You can use tape to find the difference, cause the silicone patches will not be stuck by the tape.
How are pvc patches attached to garment or caps?
There are many ways to attach PVC patches to the fabric. But mostly used ways are sewing the patches on, ironing them on, and using velcro to connect.
- Iron-on: manufacturer will attach iron-on layer on the back of the PVC patches. Users can use an iron to heat and press the patch, when the iron-on glue melt, the patch can be attached to fabric easily.
- Sew-on: For more easy stitching, the manufacturer will make a thread slot on the patch, then the user can stitch along the thread slot.
- Velcro: Many clients also will choose velcro to attach the PVC patches. Firstly, they will sew the loop side on the fabric, then easily put the PVC patches with the hook side on the loop side.
